Christmas, by name: what it takes to launch on time
If you want every customer to get a video with their name this holiday season, start in October.
The real timeline
From approved script to launch takes 4 to 6 weeks; a large campaign, 8 or more. To go live in early December, your script needs sign-off by the end of October. And before the script comes the idea, which you’ll want to pick first.
What you need to have ready
- A launch date and a channel. Your website, your app or the emails you already send.
- A database, only if you have one. If you don’t, people tell you what they want, with their consent: their name, who the video is for. For minors, an adult fills it in.
- Someone who signs off. Every video says only what you approve, so decide on day one who approves the script and the copy.
Formats that have already worked
- A call from Santa. Our very first project. Coca-Cola: 4M unique experiences. See the case
- The Three Wise Men, on a video call. Iberia: 7M unique experiences. See the case
- A song for everyone, with Belinda. Oreo, DedicatOREOs: 1.5M songs created. See the case
- Santa in another language. Konzum and Mercator, in Croatia: 2.3M unique experiences. See the case
Unique experience: one experience made for one person.
What you don’t need
A film shoot: each video is generated when it’s opened, from what people tell you or the data you already have. Or a place to store data: we keep no one’s data, and what each person shares with their consent belongs to your brand.
